Undesired thoughts

by ASPHYXIATED   Apr 26, 2009

Nothing can come of nothing: speak again.
For when silence steals your tongue
your mind begs to stay unknown,
such thoughts should not be released
from the cage in which they've grown.
O! let me not be mad, not mad, sweet heaven.
Beg forgiveness;
the gods may hear your final plea
and in the hope of redemption
such thoughts may once roam free.

    That was a pretty well written piece of work. I noticed the quotes as I was reading which made it interesting. Although I won't give a huge analysis of the poem, I must say I did enjoy reading it. The quotes added onto the edgy topic sort of gave it an "epic" type of feel, for me at least. Good job, keep writing.
