The Fall

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 26, 2009

I don't want to face it, not one bit,
There's nothing that I need to admit.
For it isn't just or fair, not at all,
And I shouldn't have to take the fall.

I'm innocent, but they don't see,
That it wasn't ever truly me.
I'm not telling lies, not even one,
But they think I am speaking a ton.

It's just my word, against theirs,
What do they have to compare?
I'm lost, in what to say and do,
I need some help, I'm so confused.

But for now, I'll have to live this,
I just will have to try to insist,
That it really wasn't me, at all,
And I shouldn't have to take the fall.

An old poem of mine that is not my best, but is just a simple rhyming poem with emotion. Hope you enjoyed it!

    MaryAnne,

Because of the repetitions it is so clear to see how helpless you felt when you wrote this. Indeed sometimes we are innocent, but no one sees it and that can really make you feel sad.

    Good poem, loved it:)

    *hugs*
