Unforgiven Silence

by Aubrey   Apr 27, 2009

If you listen closely,
You will hear my lonely tear.
If you think about all the things,
Thatâ??s happened within the year.

My heart lays in pieces,
at the bottom of my rib floor.
Nothing that tried to fix it,
Ever worked before.

Itâ??s been torn and battered,
Beaten until its bled.
Dripping from all the things
That left it for dead.

Itâ??s been cracked down the middle,
And torn from the inside out.
Abused and mistreated,
Been stuffed full of doubt.

Itâ??s been pushed around
And tore apart.
Went from being with someone
To a sad, lonely heart.

All this I can say
With the expression on my face.
The unforgiven silence
That cannot be replaced.

All of a sudden
Glue is piecing it together.
Trying to patch it up
And make itself better.

Iâ??ve never felt a feeling like this
Only a broken heart.
A mysterious boy is doing this
Trying to repair whatâ??s broken apart.

I can feel something deep inside
While my heart is attempting to stay strong.
This boy is trying to open me up
Saying he notices somethingâ??s wrong.

Iâ??m scared of what I should tell him
Scared of what he should know
Scared to let him know my past
But I donâ??t want to let him go.

Should I open my heart?
To a chance that it might break
Or keep it shut forever
Scared of what he might take

Itâ??s already been broken enough
Whatâ??s one more going to do?
Iâ??m going to open up and share with him
My mind and emotions too.

My unforgiven silence
Might actually start to speak
I think I might be falling in love
Because his heart, mine did meet.

Good poem. I loved it. Love poetry is so hard to right sometimes because of all the emotions one feels when they are in love or really really like someone.

You did it great though in this poem.
