Peaces love for war

by DarkCrystalbtrfy   Apr 27, 2009

A soft cry for peace
Along rose colored lips
Honey colored eyes stare into the darkest of slate
Imploring gestures of turning away the sword
A sheild of strength used for protection
Harm vanashing as well as the thirst for war
Metal glints in the pale moonlite
Clouds overshadow
A heart that beats for war
The calmness of earth
Gently soothes the pounding drums
And war with chaotic means
Falls under sway of whispering dreams
But when the red dawn awakenes
The sheild and sword
Will again be raised
And agony will grow in peaces heart
Tears will fall that she again
Failed to sway wars destructive means

- inspired by an allagory of peace and war

It reminds me of a child trying to sway her father who has come back from battle to not fight the next day. It creates a vivid image in the readers mind that sticks with you after its been read. Very well done.
