The Perfect Love

by Michelle Fuller   Apr 28, 2009

She was looking for a man,
Someone to hold her tight.
A man that would comfort her,
each day and each night.

She finally found a lover,
so sweet and kind.
Roses each morning,
and a note she would find:

"I am your man,
Forever to be,
you will always be mine.
I have now set you free!"

But early one morning
she woke from her bed.
Her husband was gone.
Waht went wrong in his head?

He was never to leave her.
They both took their vows.
She thought that he loved her.
She knows he lied now.

He came back that day
to pack up all of his things.
She still wanted the love
he had promised to bring.

She tried to stop him
But he just threw her down.
She tried to get help
but no one was around.

The man she once cared for,
She thought came from above
had helped her believe....
There is no perfect love!

Very sad ending, and very unexpected. I really like the twist you put to it. Good jobs. Much props.
