Addition

by Xx Grieving from the inside outxX   Apr 28, 2009

You are my Addition

you are my drug

everytime when I am with you I get high

you make me feel like I am on cloud nine

they say that I should not be addicted to you

but once I start I can't stop

I love that you are my personal drug

I love how you make me feel loved cared for and like I am the only thing in your life

I love you and I miss you

I wait to feel the high but in good time you will be all mine

    You are my Addition

I can relate to this line and it is a good way to start, on familiar ground.

    you are my drug

You kind of said this in the first line, still it is nice to shout a message. It gives it a stronger emotional feel. :D

everytime when I am with you I get high

You are speaking of a high chemistry relationship; similar to the 'high' off a drug.

you make me feel like I am on cloud nine
    ^
I can see the imagery here, almost like experiencing an out of body sensation.

they say that I should not be addicted to you
    ^
Here is a nagative part; other influences attempting to save you from yourself.

    but once I start I can't stop

Nice reference to the addiction! :D

I love that you are my personal drug

Again, reiterating the line above; shouting the message. :D

I love how you make me feel loved cared for and like I am the only thing in your life

A tribute that almost sings out a celebration.

I love you and I miss you
    ^
    A simple, bold statement.

I wait to feel the high but in good time you will be all mine

This ends by leaving an eliment of doubt in the readers mind. It makes them wonder if this love is permanent. Maybe another poem to explain the reasons for the doubt?

Well done for writing these words.
