Time

Standing here looking
at the past
what i have
created the people
i have saved

i know its
time to leave
so hard to
let go of
my loving family

those i cared
for through out
the worst days

loved them completely
brought them courage
showed them confidence
taught them to
carry on to
cope with guilt

time to turn
to leave my
successes in the
dusk as i
smile with pride

on their own
they will shine
as the war
rages in my
heart its time
