The Boy and the Girl

by UntilYouBreakMyHeart221   Apr 30, 2009

There was once a boy and a girl
They knew each other at school
The boy and girl were friends, no doubt
The girl had to follow the rule.

The girl had to be careful
She can't be stuck in lies
"This is girl code Number Seven
A friend's crush you couldn't like"

Five years later when they were talking
He sat her down and asked
"Can we just forget elementary school
And look over the past?"

The girl was shocked
She didn't know what to say
The girl was waiting for this moment
And finally it's the day

The boy looked deep into the girl's eyes
He leaned closer to her face
The girl started to panic
So she left the bench without a trace

The boy was devastated
Questions had formed in his head
Did he do something wrong,
Was it something he said?

The girl was regretting it all
She cried dry tears and wondered why
The girl couldn't face him tomorrow
She couldn't explain it, couldn't lie

There was once a boy and a girl
They used to know each other well
The boy and girl didn't talk after that
No goodbye or farewell.
