A father in his thirties
Snapped pictures
Of his tween daughter

"Shake your hair out"
And she swung it
This way and that

"Beautiful", he said
And she beamed

4th poem in a series written during recent visit to Botanic Gardens

I loved reading this! ..as I could just "picture" it happening. I like your style of writing... how you can take everyday things, and craft them into a beautiful poem , that brings a smile. :] BRILLIANT!

I enjoyed the everyday matter of factness about this. A poloroid in poem form.

    Corinne,
It is so amazing to me what inspires you to write a poem. I shouldn't be suprised I am inspired by a lot of the same but I just can't pen them like you do. I can just picture you passing by this father and daughter and him getting her to pose around the beautiful flowers showing off her braces. Beautfiul Job.

I smiled while reading this. I could see the dad beaming at his daughter. Great job!
