Quicksand and concrete sidewalks

Quicksand concrete sidewalks

If you're thinking it's impossible
Then chances are your looking at it with logic
And if you want to pretend you can understand
Well that's just fine too
But honestly I've seen reality split
And it was something beyond beautiful
Like the darkest corner in a room where the light hits
And reveals the dark truth
Now if you stand on the opposite side of the room
You get an entirely new point of view
Where you were stuck with a question
You've found an answer for another two
Just like the wind getting stopped at a window
It's what's becoming of you
Trapped from the world around you
Trying endless to push your way through
I know how it feels spinning standing still
It's an effortless motion your bound to feel
But maybe one day you'll put your foot forward
take a deep breath and walk on through

I like the title for the poem. That is what originally pulled me in. This was a great read and I enjoyed the mix up in the cookie-cutter style that is so prominent on this site. The imperfect rhymes aid the rhythm and flow and help move the poem along. Well done.
