The Moon Bears a Burden

by Indian Comma Bean   May 5, 2009

May moments pass in daylight,
Where one might take repose.
The clouds are passing far too soon,
For raindrops to impose.

They say there was a fight.

Might the sun bleed upon the tide,
Where one might see the rose.
The crimson sky fades, abrupt,
As if to say it knows.

They say the day has died.

This is my favorite part. I like the image of
the sun bleeding into the tide. A lovely poetic
way to describe sunset! Loved the write!
