Past Forgotten

by Lady Nik   May 5, 2009

The pieces won't fit
I'm stapled to this place
And I can't give in.
I'm waiting for my sky
To turn blue again.
I'm listening to here you say
This will never end.
But the more I hope
The more I panic.
I don't mean to break you
It's just a bad habit.
I don't sleep
For fear of tomorrow.
I won't wake
For loss of today.
Dreams I won't see
Lies I will believe.
The mirror holds
Someone else's reflection.
I call you angel
But you didn't come from heaven.
I just want something
From someone, somewhere
Is it too late?
For anyone to hear?
I just want to forget it all
And smile away.
Get a new love
And lose my shame.
Leave it all in the flames.
The hate and the deceit
The secrets and the misleads.
All of the things
That I let hurt me.
I'm done with you
So be done with me.
Past forgotten
Future renewed.
