Death's Sweet Fruit

by Odessa   May 6, 2009

The fruit of Death tastes so sweet,
Poison creeping through unchecked,
A body covered with a white sheet,
Another young life wrecked.

The tantalizing treat,
Hung before tear stained eyes,
The lure of eternal sleep
Making them forget the lies.
