The blue moon shines down
Drying the last of my tears
Each drop shimmering in moonlight
Confirming all my fears

The ache in my heart burns
Evaporating the faint traces of a smile
Every part of my body yearns
For somewhere too far away

I used to say forever and always
But now I know that nothing lasts
Every fantasy won't become reality
And dreams are dreams of the past

I'm here waiting for my prince to come
For happiness to take away the loneliness
