Lust Filled Lie

I've known love
Let it hold me close
Let it push me away
Let it break me down.
This was not love.
What I knew was lust.
A deceiving feeling
That bubbles beneath the surface
Splitting the skin
Suffocating the mind, body and soul
Tricking the heart.
I trusted you...lust.
I loved you...through hurt.
I needed you...always.
I remember you...too much.
I lost you...but not soon enough.
You held me too close
Now I have scars.
You pushed me too far
Now I can't find my way back.
You broke me down too deep
Now I see black.
You were not love
Lust filled lie.
