Simply Susan's dream come true

by Michael D Nalley   May 7, 2009

There comes a time when dreams come true
While angels get there chance to sing aloft
These are times exciting
When dreamers get recognition due
You sang to the world your song
Then the audience was inviting
This time nothing would go wrong

You sang your song while time passed by
Now hold your head high, your life, worth living
Your dream of love will never die
I believe you will not stop giving
There is no need to be afraid
The hope that made you try was not wasted
The price of your success has been paid
Leave no song unsung your victory was tasted

They all were spell bound that night
No one could steal your thunder
Or tear your hope apart
While you put their doubt to shame

Now the world is on your side
Is it really any wonder?
Take it all in stride
You'll never be the same

There may be dreams that cannot be
But you held it all together
And now it seems to me
There are no storms you cannot weather

You had a dream and lived to see
How very different life could be
So different, or at least now, it seems
When you get the chance to live your dreams

Now this one is the oppisite of the other way. This poem is relatably, and will be able to be enjoyed a year from now because it has no set time. But, the rythme is all over the place on this, and the rhyme scheme changes very ungracefully throughout. The changing from the 8 line stanza to the 4 line stanza is confusing and doesn't help at all.

    Peace and prosperity,
