I just tasted rain

by Bare My Paradox   May 7, 2009

-I just tasted rain-

It wasn't sour
It wasn't sweet
It was clear-
It was complete

It found a way
Straight inside
Kissing my lips
In a rapid stride

Tickling my tounge
Playing with me
Painting my throat
In its mischevious glee

Prancing further
And deeper down
Touching my heart
Before its drown

Flying to fall-
To be free
To live for a moment
And be lost in me

-I just tasted rain-

It wasn't sour
It wasn't sweet
It was clear-
It was complete

Sometimes simple poems get the msg across best - and i like the way this is done through the metaphor in this poem :) x
