Four Leaflets

by Melissa   May 7, 2009

I saw her standing there,
a peerless silhouette of
nature existing serendipitously-

She crowned a mere star taller
than the other peeps;
and carries it well
with promises of
a waxing moon,
soon to wane all
ambiguous curses,
then swell anew

I spoored down the stairs
with thoughts of
pursuing dreams,
while pinching life
with a certain irreverence
only human hands retain

but as I approached the patch
where which she just perched-
I couldn't find her anywhere,
it was as though luck
had camouflaged itself,
and can only be seen
with selfless eyes
(perhaps mine, are just a bit too green)

Sorry for my screw up on the end part of my comment, my hands were quicker than my mind there for a moment.
