The Devil's Note

by Caity   May 8, 2009

Darkness descends, deep, dark, and dreaded
Cold comes, clammy, callused, challenging, and chilling
Fear follows, frightening, fearful, festering, and fast

The world ends in many things,
Which would you choose?
Cold? Dark? Fear?

Bravery would be hard to find
The devil’s note has been sighed
The end will not come soon enough
Bravery will be called as a bluff

Chivalry would be a miracle
It would be finding in Hell an ice icicle
Strangling, burning, hitting, pain
It won’t be over until we are all slain
