A vast, empty parking lot A miniature forest fighting to gain ground against the concrete and gravel Traffic hounding away but growing closer Rain pattering against the tiles like little childrens feet Suffocating smog from a passing semi clings to the air Rebuffed by the hint of freshly mown grass Refreshingly cool raindrops pull me away from my dark daydreams As I savor the melting chocolate on my tongue, a subtle reminder of my hunger Its like coming up from the bottom of a well, soaked but exhilarated Like, Im flying away in the winds, being pulled kicking and screaming from my one safe place.
