Q+A

by StandStill   May 9, 2009

I was once
in love with a mail carrier-
he brought me
nice things
in brown paper boxes,
and walked off with my heart.
It was a daily occurrence,
rain or shine.

I am a fish
gasping for oxygen
in a world too small for my lungs.

Escape is impossible.
Death is inevitable.
Life is unbearable.

You are the answer
to all of the questions
that I am too
afraid
of
asking.

Well I like how you start out the poem as simple and innocent then slowly mold the poem filled with your philosophy and metaphors. I love the way you end it.

PS: if this is based on a true event then why don't u make the 1st move.either that or u'll forever be wondering for the whole of your entire life..."what if i had just asked him?".

Well it certainly has been delightful to read this poem.

    Excellent Job
