United States Soldier

by Ashlee   May 9, 2009

I wear purples, pinks and yellows,
As he wears his Army greens.
He walks in combat boots,
While I'm walking in jeans.

As I slowly get weaker,
He stands harder than a stone.
He's fighting off this war,
While I'm waiting back home.

You can see determination in his eyes,
And you can feel strength in his heart.
He's the strongest man you know,
Even while your apart.

You miss him like crazy,
But wouldn't have it any other way.
While he's fighting for us all,
We fight to stay okay.

He's the pride that I feel,
And the love that I hold.
He's the greatest story
Of strength and wisdom ever told.

So I'll stand by his side,
And silently stay out of the way.
As my United States Soldier,
Fights for the U.S of A.

This is to my love, while he's deployed in the middle east.. May he come home safely to me in 2010. I love you.
