Lost Within A Dreamland

I am a fugitive stranded on a desert island,
Having been blinded from direction of all paths.
A romantic lover never will I cease to be,
Attempting to break out of her shy corridors.

Never before had I known such loneliness existed.

A vivid dreamer I will be until I knock on death's doors,
Trying to brush aside cold hard reality from any view.
Fighting fiercely to keep my extraordinary imagination,
From ever slipping through the fast paced journey of life.

Never before had I known what loneliness can truly destroy.

I imagine that the sandy beach is growing grass,
Thick strands of forest green pigment standing.
Inquisitive caterpillars exploring the ongoing length,
Hastily climbing up to reach the highest point.

Now loneliness is slowly crawling from my mind.

Dream more; think further, I chant repeatedly,
The world around me fades dimly from human existence.
A new creation emerges, straight out of a fairytale book,
A place where no being will ever shed a sorrowful tear.

Now loneliness is creeping away at a faster pace.

As I set foot on this newly discovered land,
A man suddenly approaches me, a rose at hand.
His alluring smile vanishes all insecurity within,
Here is where I can be myself, no strings attached.

No longer will loneliness haunt the days of my life.
