Mind, Body and Soul

by Lady Nik   May 11, 2009

Mind:
A temple of thoughts
A sanctuary for the sacred
A palace filled with promising dreams
A confinement fused with complexity
A place I keep him.

Body:
A temple fused with taste
A sanctuary filled with softness
A palace for pleasure
A confinement of crazed intentions
A place I keep him.

Soul:
A temple filled with tender lyrics
A sanctuary of serenity
A palace fused with poetry
A confinement for commitment
A place I keep him

This poem is different. And I like that. It holds
no exact rhythm. The flow is nicely enhanced though. You continued to allow the same phrases to be used over again in each stanza. That was intriguing. This was very deep on a level I cannot seem to express. You illustrated a picture with words. Your body is the temple. Is this poem about God? Or a man? I can't seem to make up my mind on which. Although it would seem more conclusive to say it is about God. Because everything fits his description.

    "Body:
    A temple fused with taste
    A sanctuary filled with softness
    A palace for pleasure
    A confinement of crazed intentions
    A place I keep him."

    - You keep him within all your key parts. Besides your heart. I noticed that as well. It's
very beautiful. This piece is alluring. Hypnotic qualities. Absolutely breathtaking. The difference makes it all the better.

    Bravo!
