Swans (a Haiku poem by Maya and Kiko)

by Ingrid   May 11, 2009

Entwined lovers glide
in rapturous pas de deux
lily pads glisten

In ballet, a pas de deux (French, step/dance for two) is a duet in which ballet steps are performed together.

A unique write, including the french bit! You both work so well together, I am speechless with what you to come up with! Excellent work, I adore reading your works and am privileged to know such a great poet and friend. Have a good Sunday night!

Loved the sibilance here, it gives a hushed sound to the wording, the benefit of including French here was nice as swans are romantic and obviously the language is romantic. Could include a translation though :) good write.
