Picture of life

by Amberinaa   May 11, 2009

I watch them day in and out,
the same typical people; whispering.
They see me but they don't really understand
like something from Picasso or Van Gogh.
The black and white contrast, so intense.
There is no in between.

My eyes filled with despair,
my soul screams to be free.
Why can't they hear my pleas?
I need to escape.
To them I'm just there,
something pretty for their eyes
I'm stuck in this picture
of a life I don't want to live.

It's torture, I'm going insane.
I'm breaking through the canvas.
The same typical people; silence.
I'm different, the ink is blending together
twisting and turning,
I'm gray in this black and white picture
and this time it's the life I want to live.

I love how you depicted this. As if you were a painting, I've never read something like that before. It was amazing!
