Strength

by Countess of Monte Cristo   May 13, 2009

Sometimes, you look for people.
To make you laugh and smile.
To make life a journey.
That was enjoyable and worthwhile.

But you get stabbed by these people.
Because of what you tried to pursue.
It has always been there.
The strength that lies in you.

No need for role models.
They might disappoint one day.
Look at you and be the best you can.
Because that is the only way.

Stop living in the past.
Because there are two kinds of folks.
Those who stand up on their feet and move on.
And the second are a hoax.

They persevere in being victims.
Even when they had the chance to succeed.
The choice was right there in front of them.
But they follow instead of lead.

So, don't say it was circumstances.
That made you desperate and so weak.
Come on now, just stand up.
And raise your voice and speak.

Don't go for others.
To find what you already possess.
It's exactly right in front of you.
Look at the mirror and just don't guess.

Do you have a clue?
That your weapon is simply you?
Because the strength you've been searching for .
Is already inside of you.
