I Won't Forget

I walked in this room
And I'm all alone.
I sit on this floor
Wonder why your not home.
It kills my heart
That you can't stay here
It beats me up
To see you disappear.

I swore we had
Something great
Why let us slip
I won't watch us fall then break.
I said my love
And I heard you speak
I thought you cared
Now you've forsaken me

Well these things you said
They were promised
Now that you've broken them
I won't forget.
The way you sound
When you sing to me
The way you breathe
In your deep sleep.
I won't forget
Such peacefulness
I won't forget
What I might forgive.

Now I can't sleep
Nothings okay
I'm hysterical
Cutting everyday.
I wish you could see
What this does to me
I'm not the same
No longer Shanik.

I want to believe
That your love is still true
But it's so hard to trust
When you let pills take over you.
I'm sorry I messed up
You were all I had left
Now I'm more than alone
I'm falling in love with death.

Well I said some things
And I meant them all
I love you too much
With you gone I fall.
I won't forget
How your piano sounds
I won't forget
How you erased every frown.
Our love is like a diamond
Without you I'm just glass
I need you with me
Or this heartbeat won't last.

I remember you said
You wanted to marry me
Is that thought dead?
Or am I still your wife to be?
My soul can only take
Some much
I swear I need you
Go and watch me be crushed.

I need to know now
Where we stand.
Is this a happy ending?
Or a tragic romance.
I'm not miss perfect
But you're my prince charming.
I can't see a life with no you
So should I start the self harming.

You are my other half
My missing piece
We belong together
Just you with me
I won't forget
The way you made me feel
Such perfect words
I need them to be real.
I can't say much more
Because this is my heart's tale.
I will always be yours
Even when all else fails.

    i can relate the most to these, and if u ever need to talk(because i do the same as u do) not proud of it but i know that when i talk to people about it i can feel better...and the same with the guy thing me and my bf for 10 months broke up about 2 weeks ago.....well my aim is wittlemaymay14 and if u have a myspace my url is www.myspace.com/marissa3566

    I liked this poem, I could relate, the hoplessness, as you realise a relationship is lost, and there is nothing you can do, but then again you included emotion and painted a good image in my head. 5/5 Thanks.

    THis was an immesely long poem to say the least though nonetheless a good one. IN some ways, because of it's length it reached the very borders of my limit, tempting me to stop reading.

    This was my favourite lines. The flow was perfect and I could definirelt relate. A good write. 4/5
