Too High (got the title from Moonlight Shadows)

by jeanie   May 15, 2009

Fly away across the sky
So my tears have time to dry
Higher, I try with shattered dreams
But it's too hard with broken wings
They all push me to do my best
To always fly higher than the rest
All I want is to be me
But they all disagree
I fake a laugh and a smile
So they can live in denial
I pretend to soar above them all
Ignoring what I think is my true call
Flying even higher still
Waiting till they've had their fill
Too high I go to please them all
Too high I've gone, I start to fall
Falling silently through the air
But none of them give a care
They smile and laugh with good cheer
I see not one who sheds a tear
Now I know that all I've completed
Will be remembered, as I'm deleted

Here are titles: "Too High", "Flying To High", "Out Of Range", "Pretending", or "Falling Behind".

Great work with this piece, the rhyming was fresh and real. I hope you like your stay here at P&Q, its an amazing place with great people. Wonderful emotions in this poem, you clearly expressed your thoughts and feelings and drew the reader in. 5/5 from me, keep writing more poetry..

    Veryy good poem..

If i were to give it a name it would be..

"What does it take" or " "What it takes"

its simple and sweet, and expresses the fact that u did what needed to be done..and it still was not enough.
