Twisted Lullaby

by Lost and Delirious   May 16, 2009

My twisted lullaby,
music notes from my music box, playing in my mind,
slowing my heartbeat, slowing my pulse.

My twisted lullaby,
whispers softly caressing my ears,
making my eyes lids heavy as my lips grow still.

My twisted lullaby,
cool breath breathing me in,
stilling my body as it strokes my skin.

My twisted lullaby,
humming, from the voice of a siren,
dragging me into my nightmares.

My twisted lullaby,
falling but never to stop,
making my body cold and breathless.

Wonderful poetry, I like how you alternated physical feelings with deep emotional lines keep writing such talent. Had me from the opening line, very good. 5/5

That was dark. The last line was very mysterious, and left me with endless questions. Nice write, 5/5.
