Waiting

by Timothy   May 16, 2009

Here I am again,
It's the anniversary of that date;
I bring you roses and wine,
Because you are my life-mate.

I remember the happy times,
As I sit as close to you as I can get;
I talk to you about life,
I hug the cold and unyeilding cement.

I love you, and I will be faithful for life,
Your marker remains the same;
But not so for this old man,
Who is only waiting for the Lord, to be reclaimed.
