Sleepless nights such as this one,
Are agony in my heart,
For I know that I will see you soon,
Yet my heart needs you now.
My body longs to just feel your soft embrace,
To crush you tightly in my arms.
My arms endlessly longing,
Endlessly grasping at air,
For you are nowhere near.
I long for the days to pass,
For the hours to fly
For the minutes to simply disappear,
And the seconds to become totally nonexistent.
For as the clock ticks away,
You draw ever nearer.
And my heart beats faster,
Fire races along my veins,
Fills my head,
So that every thought I have,
Turns silently to you.
