True Love?

by Crippled Wing   May 17, 2009

Is it even real? This thing called true love?
Or is it just what stories and fairy tails are made of?
Maybe just maybe it's even more
Maybe it's like the feeling you get by the seashore
Gentle like a mother whispering goodnight to her child
A feeling so pure it never gets mild
Yet at the same time powerful like a galloping horse

Gentle yet powerful? This sounds like a mythical force
It can't be true it must be a legend
or maybe it's the one thing that would actually make the world happy
and wouldn't wear off like an old trend

True love doesn't have to be sensual like most believe
sometimes love between friends is the best gift you can receive
although sometimes with true love,
you won't be loved back...
but in true love you won't keep track
you'd die for them, you'd cry for them
you would give everything away
just for them to be happy
even for just a day

True love is when Jesus loved us all
but all we did for him was watch Him fall
He could of left us in the dark
But instead He left inside of us a little spark
A spark of Faith, Hope and love
We have the choice to douse it out or let it grow
Jesus gave it to us to give us a chance to see him up above
A chance for peace and paradise
So love now...because you won't live twice
