Shakespeare's Sonnet CXLI Revised

by LitxUpxWithxLife   May 21, 2009

1."In faith I do not love thee with mine eyes,"
2. For you my feelings are contradictory.
3."But 'tis my heart that loves what they despise,"
4.Who shall best the other, attain a victory?

5."Nor tender feeling, to base touches prone,"
6. Together, hand in hand, shall we ever be solicited
7."To any sensual feast with thee alone:"
8. Eternally deterred are these emotions we've elicited.

9. No feelings, strong or no, shall ever overtake this bearer
10."Dissuade one foolish heart from serving thee,"
11. Show me a man who's essence is never in error.
12."Thy proud heart's slave and vassal wretch to be:"

13. My single, eternal torment, one true bane,
14."That she that makes me sin awards me pain."

**Any "..." was taken from Shakespeare's original Sonnet: CXLI and remains HIS original work.**
