Legacy of Lies

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   May 25, 2009

A legacy of lies parade down the promenade
as a magnificent matinee arouses an applaud.
A false fairytale weaves a wonderland
of twisted truths in sinking sand.

Your meek mask is dropping down
and showing sweat on your furrow frown.
An excruciating end is in store for such
a devilish doer with a treacherous touch.

I cultivate the cut off of your perverted placement
in my misrepresented life of being your basement.
Get going from this subject of simplicity
because I banish your dark duplicity.

You've left lines crossed and corrupt
having harbored your alibis so abrupt.
Leaving leftovers to repeatedly remind
me to withdraw wants to keep your kind.

Nice poem, brilliant wording and use of vocabulary. The flow is good, rhymes flow but fixed in some places e.g. Banish your dark "duplicity".. I think duplicity just fitted as a rhyme. The title is well thought of and i categorically liked the part "i cultivated the cut off of your perverted placement, in my misrepresented life of being your basement. Good poem.
