You Haunt Me, But Please Don't Stop..

I close my eyes and I see your face,
You give me a feeling that I can't replace,
Everywhere I look you are there,
I know it won't happen to my despair.

On that one special night I held you,
I kissed you and you never knew,
You slept with your head resting on my knee,
I was really hoping that we were meant to be.

As you woke up you looked me in the eyes,
Eyes that made me wonder if this was all lies,
I felt so happy when I saw your smile,
It made me feel my life was worthwhile.

I know it's complicated and will never work out,
But I'll be the one always living in doubt.
