Children's Madness

by Alicia   May 25, 2009

Little girl does sit alone.
Contemplate her heart of stone.

Lifeless eyes do not reflect.
Broken mind cannot detect.

Sing a rhyme and make it loud.
Sing it to make mother proud.

Crack the smile to make them blink.
Wonder why it makes them think.

Little girl does sit alone.
Pass the time, it makes her moan.

Leaves of color swirl around.
Watch it quiet, don't make a sound.

Feel them watch her carefully.
Maybe they should join for tea?

Little girl does sit alone.
Listen for the correct tone.

Take a look to see the cloud.
Looking makes her mother proud.

When they watch, she behaves.
Trying not to act as slave.

Little girl does sit alone.
All she wants is to go home.

Mother, take her from this place.
Mother, be her saving grace.
