A Summer Song of Love

by NightFlyer   May 26, 2009

Bird songs sweet through windows, drift
Like my restless dreams that lift
Me from this cold wretched place
As the morning hours race
So through my window, quickly steer
And to this lonely life, adhere
Please raise me from the Winter gloom
Of my dark and dismal room
And to this sad heart, you shall send
A Summer song of love again.

Sadness cloaked by winter..a touch of hope
lies within those words. Beautifully penned
    with a soft flow...take care.
