LSD

by Colby   May 26, 2009

Reaching for the stars
Feeling for the ground
Trying to find myself
Never to be found

What is right?
What is wrong?
Who am I?
Where do I belong?

I fight to win
I beg to lose
At the end of the day
I am only confused

My hands are tied
My heart is torn
Just like that song
Every rose has its thorn

I want to die
I love being alive
But this is one existence
I will not survive

Tell me what to do
I wish I was a boy
Back when life
Was easy to enjoy

Like LSD
Leaving reality
The only way
I don't long for fatality

LSD is a hallucinogenic drug also known as acid, hence the contradictions. It's as if I don't understand what I actually feel myself, because I don't know which reality I like better -- Real life or an imaginary world.

    'I want to die
    I love being alive'
`This was kind of contridictory dont you think? You want to die, yet you like being alive? Doesnt make sense, youd have to lean one way or the other.. lol..

"LSD" - I guess I really didnt get your acranom [sp?] here.. ?

Other than that, great flow .. quite impressive actually.. again clearly we see your emotions and feelings.. to have the reader feel something is a strength in poetry in my opinion.

    Good job -
