What would you do for Money?

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   May 26, 2009

The one thing that makes me hate them all,
that for a minute or two lets my friendships fall,
is a simple conversation about an everyday object,
taking away value and all feelings of respect.

Everything I saw in them slowly goes away
as I hear their words turning my heart into gray.
All the things they'd do for it make me sick.
I try to forget but the memories all stick.

Some would kill, and some would rape.
These images I can't seem to escape.
Some would humiliate or simply cheat.
Some would run naked in the street.

All the things they say they would do
make me forget of who I once knew.
They tear the images from my heart
and set their newly seen faces apart.

This thing that makes them greed machines
redefines what true greed really means.
All these friends I hate for the time being
open my eyes and reveal what I'm seeing.

The reality of this write is quite vivid in every word of every stanza.Greed has been around since the begining of the ages and will still be here long after we are gone.
You've done a good job on this piece.
    An enjoyable read.

Such a true write, people would do anything for money.. and actually knowing what your friends would do for money, sometimes makes you look at them a different way. We soemtimes are caught off guard cause some people would do the most bizzare or the most terrible of things to get money.. cause they are greedy. I honestly think youve said it all.. I dont have to say much else.. :]
