He's Giving Up

He finally gave up
On everything he knew
He finally gave up
On what he thought was to be true

He's tying it under his belt
He's hiding it in his eyes
Cause he's sick of it all
The irrational lies

When he was strong
Or at least he thought
He tried every moment
But he was overwrought

The scars upon his legs
Are moments when he failed
When he lacked courage
When he bailed

Even after leaving
He still kept on trying
In his head
He was still dying

But that's all over
He said he's ending it all
I finally looked at him in the mirror
And knew what I saw!

    Intense! i loved the ending, last stanza was by far the best one. very nice realisation.
    the last line of the 1st stanza seems a little long, so maybe shorten it. but all in all i thought it was a fab poem, very nicely done.
