I miss him

by UntilWeLove   May 27, 2009

The car is now slowing
As he gives me one last hug
The winter sky is snowing
And my heart begins to tug

The familiar pain comes back into memory
The sensation of loss and love
The one that happens every other week
It craddles my heart like a glove

It's time for him to leave again
The tears are about to fall
Number one rule with goodbyes:
Try your best to stall

He opens the door
And in comes the cold Massachusetts air
There is no use in pleading anymore
He is here, and I'll be over there

I see the sadness in his eyes
And I wish I could take it all away
Only a few more months
Until together forever we will stay

But for now I must be brave
It's one last kiss I crave
So here my heart stays broken
"I love you..." are the last words spoken

Awww! This is so sweet, and yes you are also a good poet.... this is a piece,of your inner thoughts, sad, yet ends in happiness.

I really enjoyed reading this and loved the rhyming sequence and how your words flowed together so well
