Twisted story.

by A Shame In His Eyes   May 27, 2009

She screams out,
Only reaching for someone to hold.
A little out of reach,
As the story is told.

Her darkest fears come out at night,
And during the day, her sun doesn't shine too bright.
She just needs a little compassion,
Only to realize she's just being rationed.

She dreams like you and I,
And yes, even she cries.
But the pain she feels,
Is a different kind of pain.

Her heart breaks with every beat,
Sometimes it even hurts to breathe.
Her dreams tend to crash and burn right in front of her,
But the sad part about this twisted story.
Is she doesn't even care anymore.
