Right Now

by Lady Nik   May 27, 2009

If I could put you in my arms tonight
I would hold you close
And freeze the hands of time.
I would take away any grief you felt
Only the love I had for you would dwell.
I am no longer walking through fire
I'm floating on air.
I couldn't be happier that you're here.
I feel alive
Because of your soft smile.
When you glance at me
My heart goes wild.
I never knew such feelings
Until you came into my world.
Your laughter warms me
And makes me such a lucky girl.
When dreams fill my head
I know you're with me.
You're my heaven on earth
My everlasting peace.
I feel so much better
And I don't need to know how.
I don't want to be your forever
I want to be your right now.

This was beautiful. It held such serenity and bliss. You love this person. I can feel the immense satisfaction you have at being able to call them your own. It's very emotional and touching. Each line holds more stamina then the last. It is splendid. A bold depiction of the love that you hold near. It's very heartening. Yet I read your other poems and realize this love is no longer a whole. For that I am eternally sorry. It is hard to forgo the inevitable. You must move on. Otherwise the pain will be everlasting. It causes weakness in the mind and heart. And also in the spirit. The ability to strive onward floats farther away. And one day you will be engulfed in sorrow. Never let it get that far. You are beautiful. Always remember that. What some cannot see is always there. You have to look through your own eyes. To notice the certain looks only you yourself have. Beauty is in everyone. Sometimes it gets tainted by things like hatred or anger. But it's always there. Another quote I have. " You flaws are like your beauty marks, Each unique and beautiful in their own individual way."
    This was a beautiful poem.
    Bravo.

Yeah it's so damn true but :( the hands of time just get faster when we r holding THAT illusion that we think that is the only true thing we ever touched
