Afraid only Hides

by Amaranthine   May 27, 2009

It takes that extra look
to see whats hidden.
It reeks of blood and lust;
the invisible ghost.

It smells so sweet;
my own personal heroine.
It tries to tempt the wrong mindset
but also scares me. I'm lost.

It lies to my eyes. Why?
No one knows; find a cover.
It rains acid on my skin
showing what it costs.

I hear your heartbeat
under my floor boards.
I wear the sound
like a reoccurring nightmare

    This poem actually made me think about what it could be for a moment. It could be the prying eyes of society, or then I thought it could be a vampire, then the sadness.

    This poem is a little bit of a conform poem. Meaning that everyone can take a different meaning away from it. Like ink splatters each person see's somthing different.

    It's sort of got me abit curious now. I would say that it's the pressure that society puts on you to conform, but once again it could be taken many different ways.
