Your pride and joy,
gone in a flash,
the thing you wanted to keep as long as you can,
gone just like that,
they take it without warning,
they take it cuz they can,
and all you can do is scream,
you wish you could go back,
you wish it never happened,
your life flashes before your eyes,
you yell, you scream, you cry,
all i want to do is die,
they took it away,
my pride and joy,
and all i can do is cry some more,
and a little more of you is dying,
and all you ask is why me,
why did they choose me,
why not the next person walking down the street,
and all i wonder is why me?!
