Can you no longer

by Shalkan   May 29, 2009

Can you no longer feel the night
That penetrates the skin?
Dragooning ghosts with spears of fright
Afraid of kissing phantom grin

Frightened by the voice of god
that grieves for the holy land
Lame horse walks on; feet unshod
on spindly legs and grainy sand

Grasping hands that feed the dead
With flowery monuments
Were the lullabies all in my head
Embraced by Satan's soft lament

Can you no longer taste the sky
Under vast and rolling seas
Can you no longer feel the high
that is no longer felt by me?
