Pointing Fingers

by Melissa   May 29, 2009

So go busy yourself
with slavish tasks
that need not endeavoring-
go ahead, slight the situation
for its edgy demeanor;

who needs polite coffee cups anyway,
when I can muse with all the selfish indignity
you accuse me of,
acting out each scenario
covertly
within the confines of my mind-
where no man dares to stumble,
even you in your tattered soul

and besides, if it's a riven vow,
then face it, right?

I suppose not, as you're already enveloped
in all the inarticulateness
I accuse you of,
and yes indeed, I'm writing again

"who needs polite coffee cups anyway,"

I really like that line for some reason. Don't get me wrong the entire piece is awesome, but that line just stands out to me.
    Keep it up, Holly

Indeed a great poem, my favorite line being
    "acting out each scenario
    covertly
within the confines of my mind-
where no man dares to stumble,
even you in your tattered soul'
you have a way with your words, letting the confines of my mind to wander aimlessly, great write , Timothy r
