The U.R.C. (Universal Remote Control)

by Spirit   May 31, 2009

There's this device that I know of
It goes by many names
It does so many different things
This I shall proclaim

In your hands is a power
with it you are the man
But when this power's taken
you're no longer in command

If you know how to use it right,
wonders shall be yours.
Turns on the lights, the T.V. too
it even opens doors

It does many fabulous things
this I know is true,
but you haven't yet been able
to make it cook for you.

Happy Birthday Uncle

*This poem is a big inside joke so if you don't get it I'm sorry.

Since I can't leave a "one liner" I guess I shall have to pontificate on the obvious. A very cute, well written verse concerning a point of conflict in many household. Your rhyme was workable and the rhythm gave an easy read.
