Your Shoes

by Inside the Liar   Jun 1, 2009

There are times I wonder
what it would be like
to walk a mile in your shoes.

They're a little scuffed up
and the laces are little more than threads,
but I get the feeling
your shoes are more worn in
than mine are.

I'd like to be able to crawl inside your skin
and take a journey through what's inside
to discover what you really think and
whether or not you feel.

I'd like to be able to do this
so that I can tell you I love you
and mean it.
But it's impossible to see another's life
the way they see it.

So I guess we'll never know.

Will we?

Wow! I absolutely adored this piece Skye. Indeed in life we wish to know how someone feels, we wish we could just jump into their life and live it for a few days to discover how they truly feel, not knowing how they feel can be extremely frustrating..

    Well done.
I really really enjoyed this write.
I think so many of us can relate to this.

    5/5.

This was really good Skye and it shows by your poetry and in the way you expressed yourself in this poem. The flow was also good in this poem and like he said above you noted common things that some people don't think about when they like someone. So once again good job.
